Moore is More

Getting an important prediction right
By someone who early saw the light
In 1965 he gave us the tip.
All those transistors on a single chip.

Heads down....thumbs up?

Can we please make some room
For other than doom and gloom?
As the pessimism mushrooms
Pray that a glint of hope blooms.

Dandy Lions

Nobody's cryin'
For dandy lions.
They come and they go
Putting on a show.

There's no stopping them.
There's just more mayhem.
All over the park
Their effect is stark.

For then they do fawn
An imperfect lawn.
What will neighbors think?
Will home values sink?

Though it's rather crass
I prefer crabgrass.
If you must have weeds.
That will fill your needs.

Rubbing me the wrong way

Worse then dimples
Are new pimples.
They're rather sly
One's on the thigh.

I now regret
After I sweat
Taking an hour
Before the shower.

The Addiction of Being a Candidate

Running for the Presidency must be a rush
With all the shaking of hands among the throngs crush.
Reading  your name in the paper or watching yourself on TV
Enough of an ego reward that you care not about victory.

Report on Micro Agressions

Spending the entire day in a stew
About racism on campus, what to do?
Really it has been more of a fog
Like the aftermath from too much grog.

Most kids do want to get along
At least, that's always been my song.
Though I also should be forthright and confess.
The White Conservative cultures causes me distress.
